How to read a vendor contract before you sign anything
The clauses people miss, the fees that hide in plain sight and the questions to ask before paying a deposit.

Check that the contract names the date, start and end times, location, services and quantities. If a line says "as discussed", ask for it in writing.
Look for fees that appear later
Overtime, travel, service charges, setup and teardown, and "administration" fees are the usual surprises. Ask for one total price with every fee included.
Understand deposits and cancellation
Find out what is refundable, what is not, and the date after which the balance is due. Check what happens if the vendor cancels, not only you.
Check substitutions and liability
Can the vendor swap a person or an item? What insurance do they carry? A fair contract answers both clearly.
Ask before you sign
Good vendors expect questions. Poyento can flag risky clauses in an uploaded contract and draft counter-offers, but the decision is always yours.
